The Isosism STU fluid shock transmission unit
is a fluid dynamic restraint with a response characteristic that is a function
of the velocity, the device applies an insignificant force for small velocities
(thermal movement, etc…) while it stops and reacts up to the design target
force for high velocities (dynamic loads, earthquake, etc..). It allows
the static scheme of the structure to change and to optimise the dynamic
force distribution into the structure.
The device can be designed with a wide range of target force and displacement.
