The Isosism FD fluid viscous damper is a restraint
with a response characteristic that is a function of the velocity with
high energy dissipation; the device applies an insignificant force for
small velocities (thermal movement, etc…) while it reacts with the designed
target force for high velocities (dynamic loads, earthquake, etc..).
The device can be designed with a wide range of target forces and displacements.
The Isosism FD fluid viscous damper has been design and tested for extreme
conditions: velocities up to 1 m/sec and temperatures from –10 to 55 degrees
Celsius.
The Isosism FD devices have the following advantages:
- Low maintenance, all the hydraulic parts of the circuit are inside the device and so are protected
- Possibility to fit any force and displacement required by the designer
- Immediate response, even with very small displacements
- Response stability with temperature
- High damping
